In 2016, Alex Archibald launched his smoothie business. As a fitness enthusiast, he'd always believed in the power of nutritious food. Armed with a blender and unwavering determination, he began experimenting with fresh fruits, vegetables, and superfoods. 
His moms kitchen transformed into a smoothie laboratory, and friends and family spoke highly about his concoctions. Encouraged by their enthusiasm, Alex along with his mom and stepdad converted a cheap second hand caravan into Alex's first kitchen. The demand was incre, leading him to open his first physical store front "Smuvee" it reall was proof that passion and a blender can blend a successful recipe.

Back in 2019, fate brought Alex and Beth together. Beth, juggling her studies at Harper Adams University, was on the hunt for some convenient, healthy food. Smuvee caught her eye, and that's where she first met Alex. It started with a simple connection over good food.

As months rolled by, they discovered a surprising alignment of interests and values. Their connection deepened, and before long, they were a couple. After a bit more time, Alex and Beth decided to combine their passions and turn their shared dream into reality. That's how LYFBAR came to be.

Ah, the "C-word," a period marked by challenges and unease. LYFBAR weathered this storm, emerging stronger and wiser. Alex and Beth, in the early days of their venture, quickly grasped a vital lesson.
Within just 14 months of opening, LYFBAR faced a formidable necessity for a complete reorganization. The unforeseen circumstances pushed them to rethink their entire setup and adapt their operations.

The Dreaded C Word

2021

As the pandemic unfolded, LYFBAR embraced a digital evolution. Faced with restrictions, LYFBAR ventured into new ways of reaching their loyal customers. Surprisingly, they opened up delivery services even when they felt unprepared for it. Soon after, they crafted their very own pre-order and loyalty app.
This nifty app allowed customers to place orders from the comfort of their homes and pick up their food when it was ready. The added bonus? Accumulating some delightful points towards those tempting free LYFBAR treats.

2023

LYFBAR had its fair share of accolades. Not too long after, Alex and Beth had their shining moment as they bagged the FSB "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" award. What's more, they secured the title of "Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year" for the entire West Midlands. And not to drop names, but they even had the honor of serving some pretty remarkable judges, including the very humble Monica Galetti.
